The PT-ME Perfect Smoothie

Have you ever wanted a post workout smoothie or snack anytime of day that covers all bases? We have the perfect smoothie recipe for you.

400ml semi-skimmed organic milk
1 tbsp of low-carb protein powder (a whey protein preferable)
1/2 cup of berries (mixed blackberries, raspberries and blueberries)
1 tsp of spirulina
1 kiwi fruit
1 tbsp of flaxseeds

With berries and kiwi fruit you get a good fix of carbohydrates, the berries providing some antioxidants that will benefit anyone. Flaxseeds for good fats and fibre with the milk providing a great source of calcium, not to mention slower releasing protein. The protein powder will also help boost your metabolism and helps repair from the muscle breakdown, the spirulina stabilizes your blood sugar levels and the whole concoction tastes amazing. Even if you don’t have the spirulina the rest of the smoothie will suffice.
